WITHDRAWING FROM A COURSE ONCE IT HAS BEGUN
You may withdraw from a course once it has begun, if there are extenuating circumstances. You must attend the first meeting of the course. If you withdraw anytime after the first meeting of the course, your refund will be pro-rated for the number of classes you have attended, less a Transaction Fee of 10% of the total course tuition, and the $10 nonrefundable Registration Fee. Rather than apply for a refund, we encourage you to make-up any session you have missed the next time the course is offered (see Make-Up Policy below).
MAKE-UP POLICY
If there are extenuating circumstances for missing a class, Culinary Center of New York makes every effort to allow a make-up session the next time the class is offered space permitting.
If you have missed a class session, you must inform the Culinary Arts office, in writing, as to why you were unable to attend. We must receive this information within two weeks of your having missed the course. Fax information to 212-366-0975, or e-mail admin@culinarycenterny.com. If we agree that your reasons for missing the original class are valid, you will be informed of the next opportunity to make-up your class space permitting. One week prior to the date of the make-up class, you must call us at 212-255-4141 to ascertain whether we can accommodate you.
Make-up sessions are not transferable to any other semester. If you know in advance that you are going to miss a session of a course, you might consider sending someone in your place.
WHEN WE CANCEL COURSES
Culinary Center of New York reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment, adjust curriculum, or change instructors. When a course is cancelled, you will be notified by phone or e-mail. You may choose to transfer your registration to another course, or request a full refund.
